Naruto Update!
last modified: Thursday, April 24, 2008 (9:22:25 PM CST)
First off let's talk about HP and their idea of customer service.

Wait...they have customer service? yeah, not so much. So after talking to a customer service rep FOREVER I was told that my scanner/printer was no longer under warranty so there would be a service fee if I wanted to know how to fix whatever it is that THEY had me do to my printer. This was said to me by a guy who did not sound as if he had any confidence that I would actually be given an answer service fee or not.

-_-So after much irratation I was able to email them my stupid question, where apperantly it didn't matter that my stupid printer was not under warranty. However, that hurdle overcome according to them this printer is not meant to be wireless so I need to de-wireless and return it to its regular settings.

Then why WHY did I bother to go through this whole long process that I found on the hp website to go wireless? Maybe if at the top of the page you had written "will make your printer/scanner/copier thing incapable of scanning" maybe I wouldn't have done it. duh.

Okay, bitterness over that aside today I uploaded 2 of my new naruto hankens which I'm super excited about. As soon as I get this scanner thing under control I'll scan the other stuff I intended to update today. Basically a bunch of naruto and rayearth sketches I bought a couple of months ago that have been chilling over at SMJ. I'll probably put those up when my other big naruto purchase shows up in the next week.

On another note my puppy is covered in white paint and its just not coming off the way I had hoped it would. It seems pointless to worry about it until my railing is finished being painted though.

Gallery Tweaking
last modified: Wednesday, April 16, 2008 (1:41:42 AM CST)
Well...anytime I try to tweak my gallery design I end up feeling like I want to kill myself. Oh the things I have seen......the things that I have done! The horror!

And after all that? this stupid weblog is so wide that it throws everything out of wack on this page! Do you have any idea how frustrating that is for me? Me the person who just spent AGES adjusting things by PIXELS to get them looking okay?!

I feel like my eyes are bleeding. Hmm...also from sitting here cleaning up images so they were'nt covered in text.

And I'm still not satisfied!! Where is the cohesion? The flow between the main page and everything else? ARGGG!!!!!!

o_O insanity is around the corner, seriously I can see it peeking out at me.

Also I changed some sections around in preparation of my scanner purchase.

Anyway....like it, hate it, want me to switch it back the way it was? Leave me a comment and let me know. That way I can fix it before it begins showing up in cel open house comments^^:

cherry tree info
last modified: Monday, April 14, 2008 (10:46:57 PM CST)
Well I first saw these trees in the gardening section at Lowe's ^_^ After looking at a couple places it seems like a lot of nursery's have them- at least around me. However online you can find them at sites like these:

http://www.hillsidenurseryllc.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/trees.plantDetail/plant_id/152/index.htm

http://www.mobot.org/GARDENINGHELP/PLANTFINDER/plant.asp?code=U510

^_^see now I'm starting to become a plant geek.

Cherry trees
last modified: Sunday, April 13, 2008 (10:05:16 PM CST)
So today for the first time since I bought it I had to put gas in my car. It makes me feel like I don't drive enough. I'm pretty sure that all I've done is go back and forth to work....lame^^;

However this does not mean I haven't been buying gas, no for some reason I am still the person filling up my old car. o_O why? Seems questionable to me. Ah well luckily my new car has no thirst for fuel.

Especially since I have just decided on the new scanner I will be getting^_^ Unfortunately the scanner will have to wait for my next paycheck, all my fun time money from this upcoming one is going to Midori. And hopefully some plants too^_^ yes its gardening time or it will be once the freezing rain stops. I've been thinking about investing in a flowering tree. And yes I do mean invest, why they cost more than a Naruto hanken! Some as much as a Bleach hanken! and no I have not been pricing bleach hankens (looks around guilitly). Anyway I'm working on convincing my sister that a flowerng tree (hopefully a snow fountain weeping cherry) would be just what our yard needs, and when I say 'sister' I mean co-investor.

Actually we do allready have a couple of flowering trees but....not this tree! This tree is special! It's not just another pink cherry tree, this one is white and weeping!! Though I do love my pink non-weeping cherry tree I hope this cold spell doesn't hurt it. Its about 1/4th of the way into its flower explosion and it's starting to get very pretty.

Bottom line I need a job where I make more money. Bleach hanken and flowering tree money.

Petsmart woes.
last modified: Sunday, April 06, 2008 (4:10:49 PM CST)
You know what's not fun? Going to petsmart with a dog that looks like a huge lovable stuffed animal just made for hugging that actually is seriously considering the pros and cons of eating your face off.

Our malamute is just not a people person. He loves car rides, he loves petsmart, he loves shopping for a special treat, he just doesn't understand the need for petsmart to have customers other than himself. And actually he's pretty well behaved because honestly most people do not run up to a 110lb dog and shove themselves in his face. That I think we can all agree that would be stupid.

What is beyond stupid is that these people, who would never in the world think of doing it themselves, seem to have no problem with their small children doing just that.

o_O umm..okay I do have control of my dog and he has never bitten anyone. But when someone says "Please don't try and pet him, he's not that friendly" wouldn't you take that as a polite version of hell no? And I'm just being upfront, I'd rather you didn't touch the huge grumpy dog because I feel bad about having to yell at him about being a gentleman. He's sensitive, it hurts his feelings.

Actually I just tried to direct everyone over to Mika because she is like a petsmart star. She should be an ambassador for non-police german shepherds^_^what a cutie!

lol and my mom got all unhappy because I refused to drive my new car^_^ Well Balto is blowing his coat (and my car's interior is black) and Mika barfs. So.....yeah I'll let dogs in my car after I get my first dent/scratch. Till then tough luck^_-

New Car
last modified: Tuesday, April 01, 2008 (10:24:47 PM CST)
Well, it's only been a couple of days but suddenly *POOF* my car problem has vanished! That's right, you are now looking at the proud owner of a 2003 toyota corolla ^__ ^

Only problem with this? Hmm...yeah I got pretty used to not having a car payment and so did my bank account. Ah well, I'll just have to bargain shop a little when it comes to my internet purchases^_-

last modified: Wednesday, March 26, 2008 (4:32:41 PM CST)
I am in the process of trying to get a new car and oh jeez I wish I wasn't >.< car salesmen are without a doubt the most annoying sales people out there. Worse even than those crazy people at the mall who try to sell you those fancy dead sea manicure sets. I am trying to buy a car, I want to buy a car, but you people are preventing me from buying a car! Stop trying to pretend your going to give me a great deal on that car and just leave me ALONE. Car buying is a process, you can't just buy one on a whim! I am 5" tall, so there is an inspection process to determine if I even feel comfortable in the car. And if I'm paying X thousands of dollars for something I better be damn comfortable. On that note I must also be able to feel that I can park that vehicle without killing anything that doesn't deserve to die. Add to that gas mileage and general aesthetics AND my limited budget and you get a very very picky car buyer.

Do you have any idea how many car lots I went to in search of my current car? Of course you don't, probably more than stars in the sky. In fact ideally I will end up with my car minus 5 years and 80,000 miles. I would be fine with that. Totally fine. My car is wonderful, amazing, an all around super star. And actually I'm not even getting rid of it, but having 2 cars in a 3 person household (all of us with full time jobs) is not working out. And somehow (?!) my mom has decided that my car has become her car. Now I would make her be the one in charge of getting a the new car, but she would come home with god only knows what and it's just easier if I'm the one in charge of this. And my sister can no longer be involved in this because monday when they went out car shopping she almost came home with a sports car.

Am I the only one in this family with any sanity left? How she even thought she was going to cram her car ride loving 110 lb alaskan malamute into that stupid little car I don't even know. I did'nt even think she had any money and here it turns out the little monster has been hoarding money away....AND I find this out after I paid part of her cell phone bill out of misplaced sense of big sister helpfulness.

Ummm excuse me, I could have started buying Bleach stuff with that money. ^^; I am trying so desperately to *not* buy anything from Bleach, but every day my resolve waivers a little more. The only thing standing between me and a heaping pile of Ichigo goodness? Naruto. oh and financial destitution.

Right now I am trying to ignore the unsettling noises coming from my basement, but I'm pretty sure that my puppy is causing them. And I'm pretty sure that at this point whatever has come face to face with her jaws of destruction is allready long past saving. Normally she'd be chewing on the malamute, but he's blowing his winter coat (and yes that's as horrible as it sounds, no, worse) and so when she bits him she gets a gullet full of fur. I'm almost afraid she's going to get hairballs.

hmmm...I really want to add a coming soon section because I am so ultra excited about my purchases, but I'm afraid that would jinx them. But, at the same time....I am ultra excited.

Mostly rants
last modified: Saturday, March 22, 2008 (10:28:55 PM CST)
So, I cannot win an auction on YJ for anything-_- It's starting to get pretty annoying. It's funny because the only 2 things I've won, and neither of them are here yet by the way, have been my 2 lowest bids. Interesting, especially when you consider that my average YJ bid is WAY higher than my average ebay bid. And yet I win on ebay all the time. Now...I'm usually the only bidder^^;but whatever.

On the good side all the money I haven't spent on YJ just got channeled over to Midori^__^ oohhh the pretties [ insert evil laughter].

hmmm, this means I really need to get a new scanner. I hooked up my computer to a wireless internet thing and ended up having to delete and redo all this stuff to get my printer hooked up to it. >.< and now the little icon thing that I hit to scan stuff is gone! GONE!

Quick puppy update: Mika went to the vet today and she weighs almost 50lbs! Holy moly that's big^_^ Jeez no wonder I can barely pick her up anymore.

Cat problems.
last modified: Friday, March 07, 2008 (1:29:47 PM CST)
Yesterday morning.

Animal count:
-3 dogs.
-1 goldfish.
-13 cats.

And yes I know that is a lot of cats, believe me I know. ( One of them almost smothered me the other day and I'm sure it was intentional. Can't blame him, I don't like being on a diet either. )

....what was my point? oh! Anyway it's justified that we have so many cats because we live on farm. Yes and actually if you want to be totally honest we feed another two cats but they do not belong to us. not at all. In fact technically we are engaged in a sort of vendetta with the one cat.

Anyway my sister brought home the sob story the other day of a guy at work who had a cat he did'nt want and oh boo hoo please take my cat.

me: so what did you say?
sister: that we have cats.
me: lots of cats. too many cats. more cats than the world.
sister: yeah, seriously.
me: no, did you say that to him.
sister: oh no, I just said they did'nt like other cats.
me: -_- did you mention their superior numbers?
sister: I said they were like the westside cripes.
me: yeah, blood in blood out.
[ que laughter]

Yesterday evening.
Animal count:
-3 dogs.
-1 goldfish.
-14 cats.

What??!!!!

See I thought we were on the same page. The page were we would never ever get another cat ever.

Apperantly this guy told her that he moved into this house were an old lady had recently died and the cat came with the house. He was allergic and did'nt want the cat. The cat needed a new home. Oh and if my sister did'nt take it home right then he was going to shot it when he got home.

What the hell? So does anyone live in the cincinnati area and want a cat? Friendly, grey, long haired, recently had its name changed from smokey to princess. ( smokey is the name of one of the 2 cats we feed that my mom hates. and princess....let's be honest I ran out of good cat names like 5 cats ago. ) Writing this i realize that we did'nt check if it was a girl or boy cat and so the name princess might need to be shortened^^;

And on a final note, why can I not win an auction on YJ?! I have won 2 out of like 20 and its getting frustrating >.<

(oh and if I see Mr. "I'm gonna shoot that cat" well I'm going to kick him in the nuts. twice. )

rambling
last modified: Friday, February 29, 2008 (1:34:30 PM CST)
-_- I think I'm getting a cold. Could it have anything to do with being forced to walk a puppy outside a million times a day, many of those times just to watch her play in the snow? perhaps.

bleh-_- I'm tired after all that scanning, I'm excited about my update but still....I need a nap. Too bad I have to leave for work in like 30 minutes. Do you think they'll care if I haven't brushed my hair?

Hmm...I downloaded some sort of update for my computer (I'm not sure what, but it wanted it so...whatever) ummm and now my computer spellchecks EVERYTHING I write. o_O I wish I could make it stop.

Okay I need some cold medicine and...I totally just lost my train of thought. Soup. I need soup^_^

Enjoy the update, especially since I think my scanner is trying to suck out my soul.

Shazam!
last modified: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 (11:22:22 PM CST)
Score! I have returned today victoriously! Yes I made the far (ok, not that far) and dangerous (my sister was driving) journey to my post office and picked up my cel^_^ yeah! This was after I called them and found out that they had no intention of redelivering it. Which begs the question.....Why? I mean you'll be coming back to my house anyway......so if you wanna bring one extra piece of mail with you that'd be cool.

o_O I'm sure there is some sort of logic there. Somewhere. In other news I'm probably going to have to go through this all over again in the next couple of days. (and then fairly soon after that, I have an ebay problem^^;) And to be honest this is better than how my old postman (person?) handled this situation which was to just leave packages in front of my door in the rain.

Talk about a freak out. So....how was your day?

oh and it took me far too long to come up with an entry title for this little rant. Turns out I can't spell much of anything. I went with shazam with the idea that if I spelled it wrong I could just pretend that's how us country folk say it. You know like a 'creek' is a 'crik' ex.-"I was sitting by the side of the creek" could be countryfied by saying "I was settin' by that there crik".....but I digress.

Actually let's go back to that, because people do actually talk like that and it FREAKS me out. Your children should not graduate high school talking like that.

And that's all I have to say.

Snow related issues
last modified: Saturday, February 23, 2008 (1:19:10 PM CST)
"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

-quoted from the USPS website.

-_- apperantly though there is a little footnote to that which reads "unless it really has actually snowed and then we won't even sit at the top of your driveway and honk for you".

Because I can totally understand you not wanting to go down my driveway, which is long and has a kind of scary bridge and looks icy and snow covered (I'm not going to shovel that stupid thing. no way.) But it seems unreasonable that you won't even honk for me, because I have been home all day yesterday and today and instead I've been left one of those little cards like "hey we tried to get you this package".

ridiculous. It doesn't help that due to some weird map shenenigans that we somehow end up belonging to this post office that's like 5 miles away when two houses down they belong to the post office .5 miles away. That means if the post office is holding a package for me I have to go all the way down to hillbilly village and get lost trying to find that stupid post office staffed by mean mean people. (they really are mean there too^^;)

hmm..and thinking back since I live kind of in the country our mailperson drives a SUV. They totally could have gotten down my driveway. My sister can get up and down that thing and she's driving a neon with a spare tire on. (she hit a pothole the other day and managed to blow the tire AND break her rim in 3 places ouch.)

So this all comes down to me knowing that I have some sort of delightful package waiting for me that I won't be able to get till monday. how vexing.

ps.- my puppy's face has de-swelled. yeah!

Kind of an odd post^^;
last modified: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 (10:18:30 PM CST)
So I just spent forever screwing around and trying to get a new site design for this little heap I call a cel gallery. I actually had an entirely differant one in mind but that just never came together and I got frustrated and gave up.

Bleh, I have to get up at 4:30am to go to work and I so don't want to do that. It's going to be cold and generally its just going to suck.

Also in puppy related news for some reason half my puppy's face swelled up today. o_Owhat? If it gets any worse it's going to be 'trip to the vet' time, but hopefully she just bashed into something which would be totally in character for her. Between the face swelling on one side and the bald patch on the other side (let's not even get into it)...she just looks like a freak.

Though I'm proud to say yesterday when we took a trip to petsmart (her first time!) everyone said she was the most beautiful and amazing german shepherd they had ever seen. (and yes that is exactly what they said, my journalistic integrity would never let me exaggerate that kind of thing. really.)

Umm...but that was before the whole face swelling thing. though she did have the bald spot^^;

jeez....
last modified: Saturday, February 16, 2008 (10:15:32 AM CST)
Have you ever woken up because you heard a noise that you knew instinctively was wrong? For instance this morning I woke up and sat there for a second like what? and then I realized I was hearing a kinda of weird noise that sounded rather like a mini car crusher. you know the kind you see in a junkyard that smashes cars into pop can sized hunks of useless metal?

but what I asked myself could be making that noise?

my tv?

no.

My computer?!

no.

my...fridge?? o_O maybe?

no!

OMFG that's the sound of my puppy turning my glasses into scrap metal!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now first of all that should have been my first thought because you would think that after having her for 3 months I would be used to this. But in my defense I'm not a morning person, and I'm definatly not a 'wakes up in a flash completely aware of their surroundings' person either.

And to be honest I've kinda gotten used to the fact that it's always my sister's junk that gets the puppy death sentance. Part of the problem is that Mika (the puppy) has gotten so freakin big that she can get onto things that she could'nt before and you just don't expect her to eat the things she does. Luckily I have another pair of glasses (because I'm one of those freaks who hate contacts) so at least I won't be wondering around trying to use sonar to find my way.

Possibly this is karma for bidding on cels last night when I was considering giving them up for lent. I have given up fast food!!!! I have! Except for the first day I made the promise-_- but that was just a farewell. A sad teary parting of ways. Oh and how lame is it that everyone at work looked at me in horror and gasped when I told them that I was giving up fastfood. Is it that unbelievable? huh, I'm sorta offended.

Hola random bored cel collectors!
last modified: Saturday, February 02, 2008 (11:28:04 PM CST)
I'm thinking about giving up on buying cels and sketches for lent. I mean I was just giving up fast food (last year I gave up french fries and this year I decided to get hardcore and go all the way) but maybe I should also give up spending all my money. Okay not all...no wait...all.

I'm saying this beacause I have just spent too much money in way too short of time. Now, it probably really could'nt be considered that much money but I've noticed that since I've re-entered the cel collecting world my willingness to spend more money per item has increased.

Does that mean I've bought another Naruto hanken? ....maybe.

But on the other hand I still have'nt beaten my personal high on a cel...so I'll take that as a good sign. My (current and hopefully future) most expensive cel in the is gallery is my Neoranga opening cel. (which looking back at it was really a pretty good deal)

I guess I'm just having a little buyers regret.....kind of. I mean I wouldn't change my decisions but I would say... not have gone out for dinner last night...or at least I would have made my sister pay.

^^; Actually I think she did. oops. Well then. So if I could give up collecting fo 4 years I can probably make it through lent.

Obviously not counting the things I've just bought. Wait how long is lent? hmm....I can't remember, just that it seemed like a long time to go without french fries.

Could this Lent see me both slimmer and richer?

But if I give up buying cels I'll have more money to spend on food, so really that's self-defeating. I'll have to think this through^_^ oh! And I'll get my tax refund soon! jeez this might be hard enough to actually count as giving something up for Lent.
